Scheduled ROSS Production Outages There will be a scheduled outage of the ROSS Production environment for a security update on February 7, 2012 beginning at 2100 hrs MST and lasting approximately 5 hours. No additional user actions are required following the outage. There will be a scheduled outage of the ROSS Production Environment for deployment of the ROSS 2.14.1 system upgrade on February 21, 2012 beginning at 2000 hrs MST and lasting approximately 12.5 hours. Additional information on the outage and actions needed to be taken by account managers will be provided as the release date approaches.

ROSS Practice Updates During 2011, the ROSS Practice data will be updated with a copy from the Production environment on a quarterly basis, according to the following schedule: 4/1, 7/1, 9/30, 12/30. The updates are scheduled to occur on a Friday, beginning at 1300 Mountain Time. ROSS Practice will be unavailable for approximately 5 hours to accomplish each data refresh. If you have ROSS training or practice activities scheduled, please view the ROSS Training and Practice Schedule for a complete list of Practice outages.

ROSS Version 2.13 is Deployed About this Version - The primary objectives of version 2.13 are to: Turn on incident ordering between ROSS and the ICBS caches Provide additional capability when filtering or viewing requests and adding documentation Address inconsistencies with qualification status matching and override documentation Enhance the CAD and IQCS interfaces Improve performance Additional miscellaneous enhancements and software problems were also addressed. Click here for the Release Notes. Deployment Information - Version 2.13 was deployed to ROSS Production on Tuesday, 12/7. The Installer for ROSS 2.13 is available for download on the “Download Application” tab. The Installer is also available for download on the ROSS Helpdesk’s website. Installation - Users must uninstall ROSS version 2.12.1 before installing version 2.13. If the “Uninstall ROSS PROD 212” option is missing from the Start menu and Control Panel (Add / Remove Programs), users should navigate to C://Program Files/ROSS/ROSSPROD212 and double-click the “Uninstall.exe” file. BLM users are asked to uninstall version 2.12.1 before leaving work on 12/7, so that their system administrators can perform an automated installation once the deployment is complete. NOTE: Citrix servers will be updated with the new version, although there could be some lag time between deployment and the completion of this task. Users who access ROSS via Citrix should still install 2.13, as logging in to ROSS directly is the backup should Citrix be unavailable. Administrative rights may be necessary to install ROSS.

Accessing ROSS Data ROSS data for calendar years 2004-2009 may be accessed by going to the "Archived Data Delivery" page. There you will find a Data Dictionary and other useful information as well as a link to the data files. To go directly to the archived data, click here. A valid DMS user name and password are required. The old Data Delivery System (DDS) was decommissioned when ROSS version 2.10 was deployed. Daily DDS files are no longer being posted. Most current year reporting needs are met by the ROSS Standard Reports or User Community Reports which are accessible to all ROSS basic users. Specific reporting needs that are not met by the posted products should be reported through your GACC. Go to the "Analytical Reports" page for more information about Cognos Connection and Query Studio including a link to the reporting system. A valid ROSS user name and password are required.
